If you haven't had the opportunity to see this Academy Award winning film then you MUST see Toyland. It's a short film by German filmmaker JOCHEN FREYDANK. The film captures a gamut of emotions in a very short length of time. It is brilliantly executed and thought provoking. My heart broke again and again. It's intense and tells the story about a boy and his next door neighbor and best friend during the fateful Holocaust.
The boys mother makes a beautiful decision of love and hope that will take you by surprise. This film will make you think twice about your own integrity, courage and your future in times of crisis. It's hard to believe that a short film could convey so much in so little time. The acting is superb and the cinematography is divine. I watched this film 3 times and will watch it again. Toyland is a Neverland that you will never forget!
